Your Award Winning Faculty

Welcome to the Faculty of Culture and the Creative Industries. We have five schools that offer a vibrant range of subjects. These are the School of Art, Design & Fashion, including the Grenfell-Baines Institute of Architecture, the School of Journalism, Media & Performance, the School of Language & Global Studies, the Lancashire Law School, and the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
Our students and staff work creatively and collaboratively across this exciting range of disciplines to open up new avenues to explore and new opportunities for learning. This was recognised in 2016 when the Faculty was awarded the coveted Times Higher Education award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts. And just recently our Professor of Contemporary Art Lubaina Himid MBE was announced as the winner of the 2017 prestigious Turner Prize! It’s a great time to be part of our Faculty. Please explore what we have to offer and thank you for visiting!
