We pride ourselves on providing a vibrant, stimulating, friendly and sociable environment in which you will study. Our LLB degree is very well regarded nationally and internationally and Lancashire Law School has an excellent reputation within the professions, business and industry for the impressive quality of our graduates, who bring academic calibre, professionalism and commercial awareness to the workplace.

Anyone else who has studied alongside working full-time will tell you that it is very challenging, particularly when you’re working to professional and academic deadlines daily, but there is also a great sense of achievement at the end of it

Our highly qualified staff include internationally renowned research experts, award-winning teachers and industry professionals with extensive experience in their respective fields. Many staff are professionally qualified with experience of working in private practice, with business or in public sector organisations. We have a strong network of alumni within the professions and business which, alongside our strong industry links, enable us to provide industry relevant courses.

Each year we organise a dedicated law careers fair which is supported by a range of employers from within and outside the legal professions. You will have the opportunity to benefit from a work placement and to study a law clinic module, interviewing real clients, supported by your tutor.

All our LLB courses are validated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board meaning that they are qualifying law degrees. Our LLB provides the academic stage of training should you wish to go on to a career as either a solicitor or a barrister.

Our Law School graduates are highly sought after in the workplace, which is why we’re consistently ranked in the UK’s top 15-20% of law schools for graduate level employment (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey).

Our criminology graduates have gone on to work for the UK Border Agency, Greater Manchester Police (GMP), local prisons, and youth offending teams.

The Foundation Entry course has such a good structure. Learning how to build essays as well as learning the law is a huge advantage! When I do transfer onto the LLB course I will have valuable experience and will have a clearer idea of what to expect.
