While in her final year at UCLan in 2009, actor Mandip Gill was auditioning with some of the country’s leading casting teams on prolific television shows. For a couple of years after graduating, Mandip worked in theatres and on theatre tours before landing the role of Phoebe McQueen on Channel 4’s long-running soap ‘Hollyoaks’ where she stayed for three and a half years.
Following her time on ‘Hollyoaks,’ Mandip moved to London where she has worked in theatre, short films as well as feature film ‘The Flood’. She has also featured on well-known TV shows such as ‘Doctors’, ‘Casualty’ and ‘Good Karma Hospital’ to name a few. In 2017, she was casted in her most notable role to date, the Doctor’s companion in the BBC’s Doctor Who.
